Usage Alerts

You can set up email and/or SMS text message alerts to notify you (and others of your choosing) when your vessel’s KVH eSIM data usage reaches certain thresholds. To set up these alerts, go to the Data Usage page of KVH Manager and select Manage Alerts.

You can select either or both of the following options:

Allowance Alerts: Sent whenever your vessel's data usage reaches the selected percentage of its monthly allowance.
Overage Alerts: Sent whenever your vessel's data usage exceeds its monthly allowance by the entered amount, then again at every increment of that amount.

Once you have set your alerts, select Manage Recipients and enter the email address(es) and/or phone number(s) that should receive these alerts.

IMPORTANT! Plan usage calculations are not final until monthly billing is complete. Therefore, alerts are provided as a courtesy only to assist you in managing your data usage.

Pool Usage Alerts

If you have multiple terminals subscribed to a pooled plan, you can set up email and/or SMS text alerts that trigger when pool usage exceeds certain amounts of plan allowance and/or overage. To set up pool usage alerts, go to the Pool Usage page of KVH Manager, select Manage Pool Alerts, and set your desired thresholds. Then select Manage Pool Recipients to enter the contacts who should receive these alerts.
