Usage Alerts

IMPORTANT! Plan usage calculations are not final until monthly billing is complete. Therefore, alerts are provided as a courtesy only to assist you in managing your data usage.

You can set up email and/or SMS text message alerts to notify you (and others of your choosing) when your terminal’s data usage reaches certain thresholds. To set up these alerts, go to the Data Usage page of KVH Manager and select Manage Alerts.

Set alerts to trigger at various percentages of your plan's monthly allowance, as well as at increments of overage. Once you have set your alerts, select Manage Recipients and enter the email address(es) and/or phone number(s) that should receive these alerts.

Pool Usage Alerts

If you have multiple terminals subscribed to a pooled plan, you can set up email and/or SMS text alerts that trigger when pool usage exceeds certain amounts of plan allowance and/or overage. To set up pool usage alerts, go to the Pool Usage page of KVH Manager, select Manage Pool Alerts, and set your desired thresholds. Then select Manage Pool Recipients to enter the contacts who should receive these alerts.
