LAN Settings

By default, the High-speed (HS) LAN has a gateway of 192.168.5.1 and assigns IP addresses in the 192.168.5.50-150 range, and the Unlimited Use (UL) LAN has a gateway of 192.168.6.1 and assigns IP addresses in the 192.168.6.50-150 range. If athis configuration conflicts with an existing onboard network, you may change the IP address, subnet mask, and/or DHCP range at either the system's web interface or KVH Manager.

IMPORTANT! The default LAN settings work well for most installations. Do not change these settings unless absolutely necessary.

To make a change, go to the LAN Settings page and select Edit under the settings you want to change. Select Save when you are done.

Note: x.x.x.1 and x.x.x.2 cannot be included in the DHCP range. These IP addresses are reserved for internal use. For example, if the LAN has a gateway of 192.168.5.1, then your DHCP range must start with 192.168.5.3 or later.
