Creating Vouchers Onboard

If your fleet's management has enabled vouchers on your vessel's terminal and designated you as an Onboard Manager, you can create vouchers to provide Internet access to guests, as well as to provide additional data usage to crew members beyond the limits set by Crew Internet allocations. The vouchers available for you to create are predefined by your fleet's management.

Voucher Type	Description
User	Assign to individual crew members as a one-time boost to their allocation; kicks in when their data allowance over the WAN connection is exhausted
Guest	Generates a unique user name and password that permits a certain amount of data usage over the designated WAN connection(s); provides Internet access to non-crew members, such as charter guests

IMPORTANT! Guests who sign in with voucher credentials are limited to the data usage allocated by the voucher, even if that WAN connection is not enforcing allocation profiles for the crew.

Creating a User Voucher

Open your web browser and sign into the KVH Crew Internet Gateway at https://kvhonline.com.
Select User Vouchers from the menu. (If you do not see this menu item, you are not a designated Onboard Manager.) The User Vouchers page lists all user vouchers that have been assigned to the crew.
Select Assign a Voucher.
Select the crew member who should receive the new voucher.
Select the voucher profile you want to assign to this crew member. The Allocation(s) column shows the amount of additional data usage the voucher will provide to him/her over each available WAN connection.
Select Assign Voucher to Crew Member.
Inform the crew member that they will see the additional voucher data available to them the next time they sign into the KVH Crew Internet Gateway.

Creating a Guest Voucher

Open your web browser and sign into the KVH Crew Internet Gateway at https://kvhonline.com.
Select Guest Vouchers from the menu.
Select New Voucher(s).
Select the desired voucher profile. The Allocation(s) column shows the amount of data usage the voucher will provide to your guest over each available WAN connection.
Select the quantity of these vouchers to create. Each voucher will be assigned a unique username and PIN for guest login.
Select Generate Guest Credentials.
You may now print one or more of your new vouchers to distribute to your vessel guests. You may also copy a voucher's login credentials to your clipboard to paste in a welcome message.

Viewing Created Vouchers

You can view a list of all created vouchers by selecting User Vouchers or Guest Vouchers from the Crew Internet menu. The User Vouchers page shows the WAN allocations of each voucher (select the drop-down arrow), who it was assigned to, and when it was issued. The Guest Vouchers page shows the WAN allocations of each voucher, its login credentials, when it was issued, and when it was last used. You can also copy or print a guest voucher's credentials.

On each page, you can also export the displayed information to a CSV (comma-separated values) file, which you can open in a spreadsheet.
