Using your Vessel's Network

If you already have a network on your vessel, you can connect its Wi-Fi router to the LTE system. All devices on the network will then have access to the LTE service. (If you don't already have a Wi-Fi router installed, KVH recommends an AC2600 dual-band Gigabit Wi-Fi router, such as ASUS model Blue Cave, for the fastest speeds.)

Using Your Vessel Network with LTE-1

To set up this configuration:

Connect a standard Ethernet cable from the WAN (Internet) port on the router to the LAN port on the LTE system's PoE injector.
Turn off the built-in Wi-Fi on the LTE system. See Built-in Wi-Fi Settings for details. Devices can continue to use the vessel network's Wi-Fi connection.

Note: If the IP address of the router is 192.168.55.1, you will need to change the IP address of either the router or the LTE system. See Advanced Network Settings for details.
